Will your current job motivate you in 2023? If not, then its time to reflect on your job and your career

The Pandamic has many of us reflecting and reviewing our careers and how we spend our limited time.

Here are a few key questions that may help you to either pat yourself on the back or kick yourself into gear!

Firstly, what were your 2022 highlights, at work, at home? or with your personal relationships and  within your hobbies/outside interests? Think about the following questions,

• Where there any opportunities lost?
• Are you in a job you enjoy? what are the things you enjoy most?
• Are there any aspects of your life you would like to see changed?
• When did you enjoy a break from work and worry?
• What relaxes you the most?
• What would you like to include in your life, that is currently missing or there is not enough of?
• If you have the chance, is there anything you might do differently in 2023?

Just a few stimulating questions that should help to determine whether you are on track or off the beaten track, and if that it’s the right direction to head

You will always be the one who cares most about your career!

If you are not a little scared of your career path, then maybe you should be a little worried. The average person works for 30+ years and no else is going to worry, or steer your career in the right direction except you.. A little something to think about

• Not sure what Career path is for you – start by thinking of what you interests / motivates you and what you like to do

In regards to your work life, one of the biggest mistakes you can make is leave any decisions regarding your career to anyone else other than yourself. Like anything in life you have to work at it and drive it in the direction you would like it to take!!

Unfortunately having the required qualifications is just not enough in today’s society. Obtaining the relevant degree will not guarantee you a career in that field. It gives you a chance to prove yourself in that field but not necessarily a chance to play the game.

Just having the qualifications is not enough. It is a matter of staying focused and motivated.  Your career will not be handed to you. It will be what you make it!

If you are not enthusiastic about your career, your work life will not be fulfilling and have little chance of being successful.
