What makes Stacey Newling a worthy finalist in the 2013  NSW Business Chamber Regional Executive of the Year? Read an excerpt from her submission…..

“Trusting your staff and understanding their levels of competency and being able to work with their strengths to improve their weaknesses.

To act not only as a Manager, but as a coach to improve skillsets and at the same time help to increase productivity.

Understanding the broader scope of business with lateral and innovative thinking. Allowing for a flexible workplace that recognises achievements of staff members and encourages staff training and development as well as input into the company direction.

Reward and recognise achievements, no matter how small!

I have an honest, open and approachable nature. Whilst not holding a leadership position at present, I have the ability to forge strong relationships with colleagues and clients and would be able to lead by example in my

behaviours. A good leader is one with open communication skills and who provides feedback often with encouragement to improve whilst working towards the objectives/goals of the organisation they are working for.

In summary, I like to get my hands dirty and work alongside my teams if and when needed , I enjoy the achievements of others and take pride in seeing staff progress and grow. My current workplace has helped me truly understand the necessity of generously sharing skills and knowledge and the need for a great succession plan!”

Wishing you all the very best Stacey – you deserve recognition and reward!Regional Awards Finalist Logo
